Not all of us are born with a perfect smile, but thanks to aesthetic dentistry, today most patients can show off their beautiful, white, straight teeth.

Cosmetic dentistry allows you to correct the color, shape and size of the teeth.

The dentists specializing in cosmetic dentistry treatments at Dentopolis are dentists Marcin Grącki, Joanna Nazarczuk and Martyna Wudel. They constantly improve their qualifications during numerous training courses in the field of aesthetic dentistry. We pay special attention to ensuring the natural appearance of the teeth and harmonizing it with the surrounding tissues (gums, lips) and the composition of the face. We cooperate with the best dental technology laboratories.

At Dentopolis, we perform:

Veneers

A beautiful, healthy and white smile not only rejuvenates, but also gives you self-confidence. Veneers cover the aesthetic imperfections of the teeth in the anterior region. Porcelain veneers are in many cases a great alternative to crowns. Preparing teeth for veneers requires grinding the teeth, but it allows you to preserve much more tissue than grinding teeth for crowns.Veneers are porcelain thin plates permanently attached to the teeth. They provide an excellent aesthetic effect. Thanks to veneers, you can change the color and shape of the tooth. The light naturally scatters in the porcelain layer – the equivalent of enamel, making it look like a natural tooth.Veneers are an excellent solution for:- small teeth- conical in shape- diastem

– severely discolored teeth

– unevenly located in the arch

– teeth that are too small or too large.

Porcelain veneers are very durable, the risk of falling off is small, the color does not change over time. Even after years of normal eating and drinking, porcelain is resistant to discoloration. Veneers are resistant to staining from coffee, tea and even cigarette smoking

How is the process of making porcelain veneers?

  • 1st visit

During the first visit, the dentist creates a mold on the basis of which the prosthetic laboratory prepares a model of your teeth with a proposal for of the shape and size of the veneers (wax-up)

  • 2nd visit

Together with the dentist, you choose the color of the veneers and determine whether the shape and size are appropriate or harmonize with the facial features. If not, a correction is made in the laboratory.

  • 3rd visit

Grinding the labial surface of the tooth within the enamel, taking impressions, applying temporary veneers.

  • 4th visit

Placement of veneers.

  • What are the contraindications for making veneers?
    • occlusion disorders causing excessive load on the veneers
    • parafunctions, i.e. harmful habits that can damage the veneers, bruxism, i.e. pathological teeth grinding at night
    • very short teeth, if the bonding surface of the veneer is too small to ensure adequate adhesion. In the case of too short teeth, an additional procedure is performed to lengthen the clinical crown.
    • not completed side sections of the teeth – lack of side teeth will cause overloading of the anterior section
    • teeth very damaged – in this case, a prosthetic crown should be made

Crowns

  1. Ceramic crowns on a metal foundation

There is metal under the porcelain layer. It is the cheapest solution. Recommended in the posterior segment, due to the possible bruising of the gums, which may occur after some time. It is the least aesthetic solution.

  1. Ceramic crowns based on zirconium oxide

A highly aesthetic solution, instead of metal, a zirconium oxide framework is used. It is a very hard material (used, among others, in the construction of spacecraft and brake components in Formula 1), white-translucent, thanks to which the crown resembles a natural patient’s tooth. Recommended for its durability in the posterior segment and high aesthetics in the anterior segment.

  1. All-ceramic crowns

Crowns that do not have a zirconium oxide or metal framework. They are characterized by very high aesthetics and are recommended in the anterior segment.

The dentist will help you choose the right type of crown. For example, an all-ceramic crown cannot be used in every case.

Enamel fillings

Enamel is a nano-hybrid composite that surpasses all composites available on the market in terms of optical and aesthetic properties. The fillings are invisible and very natural. It is now used by leading clinicians around the world

Inlay Onlay

Inlay and Onlay are cosmetic fillings that are used in the case of larger cavities or after endodontic treatment. They enable a very precise reconstruction of the anatomical shape (nodules, furrows, contact points). They are made in a prosthetic laboratory on the basis of the taken impressions. They are most often made of composite materials.
