Scope of treatments:
Onlay and inlay-onlay
Dental inlays and onlays are a dental procedure that is used to restore a decayed or damaged tooth to its original condition and can actually strengthen it. They are a more conservative approach to dental crowns because they do not involve the removal of healthy tooth structure. For this reason inlays and onlays are considered a minimally invasive cosmetics procedure. An inlay fits within the grooves that are within the cusps of your teeth. An onlay, the larger of the two, fits within the grooves but wraps up and over the cusps covering more of the tooth’s surface. An onlay is used when the damage is more extensive and the restoration covers the entire chewing surface including one or more tooth cusps.
Veneer is a thin layer of material placed over a tooth, either to improve the aesthetics of a tooth or to protect a damage to a tooth’s surface. There are two main types of material used to fabricate a veneer: composite and dental porcelain.
Dental bridges and crowns
A crown is a type of dental restoration which completely caps or encircles a tooth or dental implant. Crowns are often needed when a large cavity threatens the ongoing health of a tooth. They are typically bonded to the tooth using a dental cement. Crowns are often used to improve the strength or appearance of teeth. Depending your situation, we offer all-ceramic, porcelain-fused-to-metal and zirkon crowns.
A bridge is a dental restoration used to replace a missing tooth by joining them permanently to adjacent teeth or dental implants. A bridge is fabricated by reducing the teeth on either side of the missing tooth or teeth by a preparation pattern determined by the location of the teeth and by the material from which the bridge is fabricated.
